Wingspan is a competitive, medium-weight, card-driven, engine-building board game from Stonemaier Games. It's designed by Elizabeth Hargrave and features 180 birds illustrated by Natalia Rojas and Ana Maria Martinez.

You are bird enthusiasts—researchers, bird watchers, ornithologists, and collectors—seeking to discover and attract the best birds to your network of wildlife preserves. Each bird extends a chain of powerful combinations in one of your habitats (actions). These habitats focus on several key aspects of growth:

  • Gain food tokens via custom dice in a birdfeeder dice tower
  • Lay eggs using egg miniatures in a variety of colors
  • Draw from hundreds of unique bird cards and play them

The winner is the player with the most points after 4 rounds.

Wingspan Americas

This fourth Wingspan expansion explores the birds of Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. This incredibly biodiverse and abundant region is home to more than 3,000 bird species, including the birds with the smallest and largest wingspans in the world (the Bee Hummingbird and Snowy Albatross, respectively).

Hummingbirds make up about one tenth of the bird species in Latin America, delighting birders with their quick movements and shimmering feathers. Designer Elizabeth Hargrave and artists Natalia Rojas, Ana Maria Martinez Jaramillo, and Martha Clare highlight them in this expansion with a new type of card that adds a twist to gameplay.

Wingspan Americas' components include 111 new bird cards plus 40 hummingbird cards (and their related boards and mats), 8 new goal cards, 5 double-sided goal tiles, and an Automa solo mode. This expansion requires the core Wingspan game (or Wingspan Asia, which is a standalone game for 1-2 players).

Wingspan: Oceania Expansion focuses on birds in Australia and New Zealand. It's designed by Elizabeth Hargrave and features birds illustrated by Natalia Rojas and Ana Maria Martinez.

This second expansion to Wingspan features colorful and awe-inspiring birds from Oceania. The Oceania bird cards are designed to be shuffled into the bird cards from the base game, with or without other expansions.

This expansion includes new player mats and a new food type, allowing players to explore different strategies in this new environment. It also includes new bonus cards and more end-of-round goals, as well as a new color of egg. In addition, it includes a two-player cooperative variant that adapts the solo rules to allow a team of two to play against a game-controlled opponent.

Wingspan: Asia introduces the diverse and vibrant birds of the Asian continent. As always, the objective is to earn the most points by playing birds, achieving objectives, and laying eggs across your habitats. This release serves multiple roles within the Wingspan universe!

Wingspan: Asia can be played as standalone game:
- 2 players using a new “duet mode,” which includes its own boards and rules tailored for two-player gameplay.
- 3-5 players - this game can be played completely on its own without the base game Wingspan. It includes boards that can be used with or without the nectar resource introduced in Wingspan: Oceania

As an expansion: Wingspan: Asia adds new bird and bonus cards to the original Wingspan and its other expansions.

With Flock Mode: play Wingspan with 6–7 players through the new “flock mode,” which requires the player components from the original game.

Wingspan: European Expansion

In this first expansion to Wingspan, we increase the scope of the world to include the regal, beautiful, and varied birds of Europe. These birds feature a variety of new abilities, including a number of birds with round end abilities, abilities that increase interaction between players, and birds that benefit from excess cards/food. Along with the new bonus cards, they’re designed to be shuffled into the original decks of cards (and cards from future expansions).

The European Expansion also includes an additional tray for storing the growing collection of birds (past, present, and future), as well as 15 purple eggs, extra food tokens, and a colorful new scorepad designed for both multi-player and single-player scoring. It's designed by Elizabeth Hargrave and features birds illustrated by Natalia Rojas and Ana Maria Martinez.

Wingspan Fan-Designed Bird Promo Packs: Set 1
In cooperation with Elizabeth Hargrave, fan creation coordinator Travis Willse, and a few selected designers, we have officially printed some fan-designed bird promo packs. This is a box of ALL 6 promo packs, each containing 25 completely new birds in continents already covered by Wingspan, for a total of 150 new cards. The art is consistent with the general style of all other birds in the game.

Double-Sided Natural Rubber Playmat for Wingspan
This new version of the Wingspan natural rubber playmat is double-sided (original and Oceania). The original mats are important because most Wingspan expansions are designed with them as the foundation; the Oceania mat is typically used when you're playing with nectar.

Why switch to natural rubber? Some players prefer this neoprene-like material because it's easier to remove cards from them.

Note: These were erroneously called "neoprene," which is a synthetic rubber. These are made from natural rubber.

Wingspan Nesting Box

The Wingspan Nesting Box is an organize/storage box for all Wingspan content and cards (sleeved or unsleeved). This product does not include the Wingspan game or any expansions--they are available separately. This modular box is designed to fit all past, present, and future content.

  • 1 dual-layered, individually numbered box (430x306x207mm fits, into Kallax shelves; 4.4 kg).*
  • top layer (removable cardboard tray): holds 7 rubber playmats (laid flat), 12 folded cardboard player mats, rulebooks, goal mats
  • middle layer (removable cardboard tray): includes 1 setup tray/lid, 3 food/egg trays, 1 dice tray, 1 card tray (fits sleeved cards), a long slot with separators for cards (fits sleeved cards), and room for the birdfeeder; plastic tray area is big enough for custom inserts previously purchased just for the Wingspan box
  • bottom layer: modular space for bird trays, plastic containers, and third-party accessories
  • cardboard dividers for various types of cards from current and future continents
  • 1 cardboard birdfeeder dice tower
